Carrie Underwood got the honor to sing the National Anthem at this year’s Superbowl. Awesome performance. Check it out:

Scott Borchetta, the one who defended Taylor Swift, blamed other people for not being as emotional on stage and more technical. He went in to criticize American Idol who awards people for just hitting “the high notes.” Well Kelly Clarkson didn’t like that, so check out what she said in response to that:
Wow …..Dear Scott Borchetta,
I understand defending your artist obviously because I have done the same in the past for artists I like, including Taylor, so you might see why its upsetting to read you attacking American Idol for producing simply vocalists that hit ‘the high notes’. Thank you for that ‘Captain Obvious’ sense of humor because you know what, we not only hit the high notes, you forgot to mention we generally hit the ‘right’ notes as well.
Every artist has a bad performance or two and that is understandable, but throwing blame will not make the situation at hand any better. I have been criticized left and right for having shaky performances before (and they were shaky) and what my manager or label executives say to me and the public is “I’ll kick butt next time” or “every performance isn’t going to be perfect” ……I bring this up because you should take a lesson from these people and instead of lashing out at other artists (that in your ‘humble’ opinion lack true artistry), you should simply take a breath and realize that sometimes things won’t go according to plan or work out and that’s okay.
Sincerely,
One of those contestants from American Idol who only made it because of her high notes

Lady Gaga posted a photo on her Twitter of her crying when she found out she won two Grammy’s. Check out what she wrote:
beautiful photo taken of me the moment I found out i won my grammys. All the hundreds of songs I wrote, the thousands of shows, the fans, all the blood and tears flashing instantly. photo by haus member the famous “Dada” Williams.

She may be only 20 years old, but Taylor Swift woke up from her Grammy night celebration with an unpleasant hangover. Though she won four Grammy Awards on Sunday, including one for album of the year for her “Fearless,” Ms. Swift, the country-music star, was also roundly criticized for her uneven performances on the show, including an out-of-tune duet with Stevie Nicks on the Fleetwood Mac song “Rhiannon.”
Now the head of the record label Big Machine, which released “Fearless,” has spoken up on Ms. Swift’s behalf. In an article in The Tennessean, Scott Borchetta, the label’s president and chief executive, said that Ms. Swift’s critics “are not getting it.” Mr. Borchetta added: “The facts say she is the undisputed best communicator that we’ve got. When she says something, when she sings something, when she feels something, it affects more people than anybody else.”
Defending Ms. Swift’s performance at the Grammys, Mr. Borchetta said, “Maybe she’s not the best technical singer, but she’s probably the best emotional singer because everybody else who gets up there and is technically perfect, people don’t seem to want more of it.” He added, “If you pick any of those artists that performed” at on the Grammys broadcast, “I’m sure you can go online and find something where you go, ‘ew.’ Maybe in that moment we didn’t have the best night. But in the same breath, maybe we did. And nobody is arguing with the awards.”
Mr. Borchetta told The Associated Press that Ms. Swift had a technical problem during her duet with Ms. Nicks and was unable to hear the complete mix of the song as she performed it.

Again Ke$ha’s at the top. Wow, will this girl ever stop? I just hope this song doesn’t get annoying like “I Gotta Feeling” got. And Lady Gaga just can’t claim that number one spot. This has been like the third or fourth time “Bad Romance” has landed at number two. I wonder how close she is to a third number one?
Interesting combo. T-Pain wants to work with Carrie Underwood.
“Next on my list is Carrie Underwood. I swear to God. Everybody else can suck it until I get to Carrie Underwood.”

I find the way Canadian singer, Justin Bieber, released his debut album interesting. He released “Part One” a while ago, it only had seven songs so it charted as an EP (so did Lady Gaga’s second album, “The Fame Monster,” which only had eight songs) but now he’s releasing “Part Two.” Check out the cover below. The lead single is “Baby.”
